The Oaxaca International Airport has connections to Houston, Tx,
to Mexico City, Huatulco,
and Puerto
Escondido.
The following Airlines fly in and out of Oaxaca:
By Bus
Bus line ADO
has different classes of busses:
- UNO
(executive line) has 25 seats that totally recline, bathroom,
five televisions, cafeteria services and air conditioning.
- PLUS
(luxury line) have 40 seats that recline, bathroom, five televisions,
cafeteria services and air conditioning.
- OCC
(first class) have 44 seats that recline, bathroom, 3 televisions
and air conditioning.
- SUR
(economical class) have 40 seats, music and air conditioning.
We suggest that you splurge and take UNO or PLUS. It`s worth the few
extra bucks.
For OCC and SUR, you can make you reservations at the bus station
one hour before the departure time.
With UNO, GL, OCC, SUR and PLUS you can reserve your tickets with
credit card by calling (55) 5133.2424 in Mexico City or call 01.800.702.8000
anywhere else in Mexico between 7am and 11pm.

By Land
- From Mexico City take Highway XXX, it`s XXX miles and takes
about five hours.
- From Puebla take Highway 150, it`s 288 miles and takes about
four hours.
- From Puerto
Escondido take Highway 175, it´s 182 miles and takes seven
hours.
- From Huatulco
take Highway 175, it´s 169 miles and takes about six hours.
- From San Cristobal de las Casas take Highway XXX, it`s XXX miles
and takes about xxxxx hours.

ARRIVING AND LEAVING THE CITY
By Plane
The Airport is south of the city by about 25 minutes.
The Airport has a transportation service private ($114 pesos) or
colectivo ($27 pesos per person).
The Transportation Ticket Office
is in the Airport, on the left as you exit the terminal.
To get to the Airport, you can buy tickets at the Transportacion
Terreste Aeropuerto Office in the Alameda, across from the
Cathedral and next to the Post Office.
They do not accept reservations over the phone, so you need to go
there in person.
The Office is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 2pm and from
5pm to 8pm.
The cost is $27 pesos from any Hotel in Downtown and $60 pesos from
any other location within the City.
By Bus
The First Class Bus Terminal is
located north of Downtown on Avenida Niños Héroes de Chapultepec
1036.
There are 50 daily departures to Mexico City, TAPO and Central del
Norte.
Other destinations include Juchitan,
Tuxtla Gutiérrez, San Cristóbal, Puebla, Tehuacan, Tapachula, Veracruz,
Villahermosa, Huatulco,
Pochutla and Puerto
Escondido.
There are different levels of comfort on these busses. GL and UNO
are the most comfortable.
